Champagne
“Come quickly! I am tasting stars!” – Dom Perignon (1638-1714) upon tasting his first sip of champagne.A required and favorite drink of all Bombshells. It’s fizzy, bubbly and never distasteful. Champagne is always right, regardless of the time of day.
Seen in Marilyn Monroe’s film, “The Seven Year Itch.” Jayne Mansfield used to bathe twice a week in pink champagne as an “ego boost.” Marilyn’s favorite beverage was Dom Perignon 1953 and Brigitte Bardot once told a reporter about the reviving properties champagne had for fatigue. Champagne was also drunk by Lola Lola (Marlene Dietrich in The Blue Angel.
And our favorite quote from Dorothy Parker: “Three be the things I shall never attain: envy, content and sufficient champagne.”
